Emil Collaborates

Welcome (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ *:・゚✧

Emily "Emil" Elyse (they/them) is an artist and analyst from the West Coast with a decade of work experience in the public sector.

In 2021, Emil graduated from San Francisco State University with a Master's in Public Administration, focused in public policy. They currently manage the national funding portfolio for a workforce development agency based in Harlem, Manhattan, NYC, serving the re-entry population. In 2020, they began working for a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) provider operating in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. This work took them to Reno, NV where they oversaw the management of the region's Coordinated Entry system and led it's Homelessness Point-in-Time Count for two consecutive years. They're a data jock and systems nerd, dedicated to working collaboratively with community to build solutions and support networks that serve the greatest good.

Emil is also an emerging immersive artist who has produced funded performance art projects and installations for some of the San Francisco Bay Area's more subterranean art scenes. Their projects have offered playful, and pointed, social commentary on things like the COVID-19 epidemic to the broad and sweeping t€chn0-fa$c!sm of our times.

They're interested in projects that seek to understand current social trends and needs, contribute to analyses of both institutional and labor power, and apply social theories of change in the real world. They're especially excited to connect with other artists who are willing to (thoughtfully) make a scene for the sake of critical commentary while encouraging different actions/behaviors.
